Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer at Energy Essentials, you will work on implementations on our data platform for our clients. This contributes to delivering real-time insights via dashboards to portfolio managers, by transforming events in the form of Apache Kafka messages, enriching them (using Apache Flink), and storing them in a real-time OLAP database (Apache Druid). You will create workflows for aggregating asset data, which, together with forecasts and optimization models, should lead to the automated management of assets and bidding on energy markets. You will work in sprints, have daily stand-ups, regular design meetings, and customer contact.

As a Data Engineer at Energy Essentials, you play a crucial role in implementing and optimizing data processes. You have experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Python, and Git, and you are familiar with ETL pipelines, APIs, Apache Kafka, and distributed processing. Experience with cloud environments is essential, preferably Azure. You will work on designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and systems that process and analyze large amounts of data. You can work independently and are critical. Innovation and pragmatism are natural to you: you enjoy experimenting with new technologies and find simple, to-the-point solutions without over-engineering.
